If you are an enthusiastic diver, Miri has beautiful coral reefs to offer! Look at this photo gallery. The Piasau Divers club is British Sub Aqua Club (BSAC) Branch 2414 and offers regular diving and training using the Seacat.

The diving season in Miri starts usually beginning of March and ends in November with the onset of the monsoon period. During the season dive trips are organised on a regular basis every weekend (with occasional mid week trips and night dives) and announced via e-mail (only to registered members!). In order to secure a place for a trip one must book directly with the office of the PBC at least 24 hours in advance and must leave a contact number in case of the trip being cancelled. Bookings are made on a first come first serve basis.

Fishing

The fishing section organises trips on the Seacat to the reefs off Miri. Rods and reels are available to rent. Occasionally weekend overnight charters are arranged to more distant fishing sites including the Tukau Drop Off. Please contact the fishing convenor or the PBC office to join the email distribution list.

River Cruises

Fancy a trip up the river into the jungle. We run regular training in the use of the Seabarge. Once certified you can take yourself, family and friends up the Miri river looking for wildlife. We advise against swimming in the river. Contact the PBC office for information on the next course or to book the Seabarge.

Waterskiing

Waterskiing (providing the sea is calm enough) is available through the use of the Flightcraft. Please contact the water-skiing convenor to arrange for certification as a ski-boat driver. You can book the Flightcraft through the PBC office.
