To dive with the PBC you need to satisfy the following requirements:
You are a certified diver (BSAC, PADI, NAUI, SSI, IANTD, etc.) with a recognised training agency or you are a student on a diving course and accompanied by an instructor or BSAC dive leader.
You have registered for the diving section and filled in the self-declaration medical form and liability waivers (please contact the PBC office for a set of the forms).
You have diving medical insurance which includes recompression treatment and international evacuation. We recommend DAN insurance as they provide 24 hour access to a diving medical specialist. You can apply for DAN insurance online (click here). Please note you need to join DAN AND select the insurance package you require.
If you conduct more than 3 dive trips in a calendar year you need to join the British Sub Aqua Club. Please contact the membership secretary (put in link to Diving Committee Page). This also gives you access to the training courses run by the branch.
All dives need to be conducted within the BSAC safe diving practices and the depth limits of your qualification (depth limits for other agency qualification are based on the BSAC equivalency table).
The last thing you need to do is ask the PBC office to put you on the diving email list – as this is the only way to keep informed about upcoming events and dives.
